Client Testimonials

A few of our fantastic clients have been kind enough to allow us use their words on this page, below.

I have known David Donachy for more than twenty years during which time he has worked on three separate projects with me and my husband. I use the word “with” instead of “for” because it always felt we were partners in the projects he was working on.

I have worked with other architects but none have had the innate artistic sensibility that Dave does. When you combine that with his architectural knowledge and design and drawing skill, the results are a product that accurately reflects and is sensitive to his client’s needs and desires.

He took on a large project at my church (that my husband and I were closely connected to) after we were forced to terminate our relationship with the original architect. That was definitely going the extra mile as taking over an existing project is something most architects would not agree to do. He saw the project through to completion and was always a pleasure to work with. The resulting design pleased everyone; not an easy task when you have 300 clients!

Dave is a pleasure to work with and has never faltered in his hard working ethic, despite, on occasion, challenging circumstances.

I would not hesitate to recommend him for any projects, large or small.

have worked on several projects; houses and offices, with Donachy Architects over the past 10 years.

Without a doubt, Dave is one of, if not the best, architects to work with.  He is patient, supportive of ideas, and extremely talented.  My most recent project of several years ago was the reconstruction/restoration of an 1800’s carriage house.  It was a daunting task because we kept running into problems with damage to the building as we peeled the layers of years off the structure.  One of the most unusual, and there were many, challenges was lifting the building off the ground where it had stood for many years just on small stones.  The carriage house is now high and dry and should last another several hundred years.

Working with Dave was fun, challenging, and rewarding.  I would not do another project without his steady advice and knowledge.
