Historic Restoration – Carriage House

The foundation system for this historic carriage house was in very poor condition. Demolition on the foundation was done while the structure was lifted about 6 feet on palettes. Unique architectural touches were added to compliment the existing style of architecture on the building. A sculptor’s studio was created on the first floor, and a pottery studio on the second floor.
I have known David Donachy for more than twenty years during which time he has worked on three separate projects with me and my husband. I use the word “with” instead of “for” because it always felt we were partners in the projects he was working on.
